I loved this place!
The house was very comfortable, clean, with nice accoutrements. I loved sitting on the porch watching the ever changing clouds over the mountain and lake. The kitchen was better stocked with cookware than my own kitchen. I loved the little touches the host has in place for a comfortable stay. Lots of suggestions for hikes, places to eat and things of interest. Great books. Even area maps to borrow for day hikes or exploring. And the hot tub! It was easy access on the back deck with a lovely view of the sky (I clearly didn't find time to enjoy it during the day). There is easy access to the water down the hill from the house. I had my kayak and went on a couple of 5 mile excursions. The television was easy to operate. Makes me wonder what is wrong with my "smart" tv at home! There is so much history and natural beauty around this house. So much to explore, yet so easy just to relax around the house.I've been to Lake Santeelah many times during the summer. I had a great time visiting in the winter. The host was pleasant and responsive. He clearly cares about this gem of a home.Other vacation rental owners could learn from this place! I'll definitely be back.
